Payson Lakes

After Jonah's Chinese Camp was complete we went up to Payson Lakes with Aunt Julie. We had a great dinner and smores. The next morning we went on a small hike and fished at the lake. We really didn't know what we were doing but Jonah loved using his NEW fishing pole he got from Pappy last year.

Trask River Daddy Daughter Date

Last week Dustin took Savannah on our ward Daddy Daughter Date. They went camping overnight to Trask River. On there way to the campout they stopped at the Cheese Factory in Tillimook to do the tour and eat dinner and ice cream. Once they got to camp Savannah played with some other friends in the ward, cooked marshmellows and answered questions for peanut butter cups (Savannah's favorite part of the night).

The next day they played down by the river.

Stood on these posts where Dustin had them wave to absolutely nothing, to make the picture look fun.

Set up a camp on the empty post for some catapillars (Pearl and Inchie),

And then finally she and Dustin went to the Tillimook Airplane Museum before returning home.
I got all the information from Savannah as she helped me journal this for the blog. Maybe if Dustin ever gets a chance he will add to the entry, but at this time I highly doubt it, being that he really doesn't have a free second in his day. I saw him at 11pm right before bed last night :) At least he got to go on the adventure and have a blast with Savannah.

Splitting ways. . . for tonight

Today Dustin took Jonah up to Scout Camp. I told him that Jonah was too young but he likes to break the rules. Not really, but he doesn't have a lot of time with the kids so he wanted to use some of it to be with Jonah.

Anyway I took Savannah and Jacob to the Hillsboro Track and Field event again and they did great. They both got third place in the hurdles, and got participation ribbons for the other events. We then went shopping and finally had dinner at Costa Vida a few minutes ago. It was their choice. I guess they can't get enough of the pork and tortillas because they had already had it once this week. Now time for Jacob's bedtime and Savannah and I are going to watch Savannah Smiles for her first time. :) No pictures because Dustin has the camera.

(Added in on August 23, '08) - Here are some pictures at Scout Camp. Hopefully Dustin will blog about this at some point.
