Don't Grow Up

Picture taken by my very talented sister in law Nina at 2 weeks old

Today Jacob is celebrating Liam's one month birthday. I seriously can't believe it has been a month since Liam joined our family. He has been such a joy in the house. He has gained about 3 pounds and no longer has that new born look. I want it to stop. I am cherishing this baby stage.

Liam is awake more often, which means he needs to be held more often. Yes he is one of those. The child that expects a lot of attention, in your arms being bounced. But as long as I don't plan on getting things done I am alright. So I think that will be my plan for the next six months. Holding him in a messy house. :)

While he wants a lot of attention while awake, he is starting to sleep well at night. He is almost up to 6 hours. Yea! During the day he sleeps on and off as well. So I won't complain about not getting things done, in fact I quite enjoy holding him so much. It is just hard when I need to make a bed, fix a meal or help one of the other kids. Luckily Dustin has been a great help when he is home.

Rock On Kind of Guy

Driving down the road yesterday Jacob asks me to turn on the radio. As we were trying to find a station Jacob would keep saying "next." Not wanting the pop, rap, country, classic and other music. Finally Metallica comes on and he said, "Keep it here." I told him we could find something else and he says "Mom, I am a rock on kind of guy. I like the guitar that goes near, near, near." He went on to tell me that this is the music on Tony Hawk Down Hill Jam and that is the best kind of music. I think I am going to have trouble with this boy at a really early age. :) Keep in mind he recently turned 5. Hard Rock or nothing.
