Beans, Beans. . .

I have heard about getting beans for toddlers to play in. . . I guess it works for older kids too. The kids have been playing with them for a couple of hours now and are not showing signs of stopping.

No Friends, No Problem!

The other day Savannah couldn't find anyone to play with, but that didn't stop her from having fun. I looked out the window and saw her roller blading down the street, pulling the wagon with her stuffed animals in tow. So I went out and she posed for the picture. (I know it's hard to tell she is posing:)).

Oceanside

We went to Oceanside, a new beach for us, after hitting the cheese factory. It was a perfect, non-windy, 65 degree day. The water was freezing, but that never stops our kids from heading out in the ocean.

Another day of tears. Man, I am sure going to miss living here in Oregon.

Family Visit

Last week Camie and her kids came up to visit. It is always so much fun to have family in town, especially since we will be leaving soon. On their last day here we went out to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Everything was up and running, so it was a lot of fun to see the production. A spanish television show was also filming and the kids will be on it soon . :) And Savannah was most excited that Radio Disney was there and she got a Jonah's Brothers poster.

One thing the kids love to do when we go to new places is to get the smashed souvenior pennies. They think they are soooooo cool. They also got a pin for their pin collection that Aunt Julie started for them.

And you definitely can't leave without having some yummy ice cream. Even if it is at 10am.

Savannah's Baptism

Savannah was baptized in Provo, Utah on January 10, 2009. She had been looking forward to this day for so long. Reading, preparing and just plain being excited. It was a special day that we as her parents will never forget. We were just so impressed with Savannah and her great desire to choose to be baptized. She has always had a sweet spirit that is sensitive to making good choices and helping others. We had all of our family there to support her and we really appreciate all of them, their kindness and thoughtful gifts. Thanks for making this a special Day!

Spring Break - March '09

We had no plans what so ever for Spring Break, when out of the blue Dustin had two quick interviews with Longview Fibre in Washington. They wanted him to then head to Utah for one final interview for their Financial Analyst position for the mountain states. Well if he was heading to Utah there was no way we were letting him go without us. So we packed up the car the next day and went to St. George to be with my parents.

We had a great time swimming, hiking, four-wheeling and hanging out. We took these pictures at the St. George Temple. I love this temple and the kids had a fun time visiting. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Joe Rocky Mountain- Easter '09

Did you know that the Easter Bunny's name is "Joe Rocky Mountain?" If you ask Jacob, he will tell you "Yes, the Easter bunny's name is Joe Rocky Mountain and he lives in a bunny house, with bunny beds, in the mountains." I have no idea where this came from, but he is positive that that is his name. You have to love Jacob!

MIA

Quick update:

Dustin got a job as a Financial Analyst for Longview Fibre, a paper company based in Washington. He will be over a few of there plants in the intermountain area, but he will be stationed at their plant in Spanish Fork Utah. He starts training up here (Washington area) on Monday for 6 weeks and then we will be moving back to the Provo area. We are excited for a new job, being back by family and Utah friends and to have four seasons. With that said I will tell you that I have at least one daily breakdown knowing that we have to leave our wonderful friends, ward members, and neighbors up here in Portland.

Oh ya and at some point I might get a free minute and try to update our blog. Sorry.
