Last Day of School

Savannah had her last day of school on Thursday. She walked in the door and I asked her if she was so excited to start Summer Break and she broke into tears. She said she wanted to go back to see her teacher Miss. Berry. Miss. Berry is moving to another state to be by family, and so she won't be teaching at Savannah's school anymore. This was absolutely devistating to Savannah. She sobbed for about 30 minutes before she could calm down enough to go get lunch with me and her brothers to celebrate this big day. She is such a sensitive little bug. Anyway here is a picture of Savannah and Miss. Berry on the last day of school.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Well I am not going to write a sappy letter on this blog, because that is for my private blog. But I do want Dustin to know what a great father he is to our children. In his busy schedule he is always trying to find time to be with the kids. Even if it is having Savannah come work at the restaurant, or taking Jonah to do door hangers, he finds time for them. He would do anything for us and he does everything he can for us. He even forgives my sometimes pathetic behaviors when I really don't deserve it. Anyway I am starting to go to deep, but you should see the other blog. So lets just let it be said that I don't know of a better Dad for my children, and I am so grateful for him.

I DID IT!
Well yesterday finally came. You might be wondering what that was, well it was the Helvetia Half Marathon. This was my first time ever running this far and it was great! Sandy helped Deidre and I (Don't have pictures of them) as we did the novice training for this race. I felt pretty good most of the race, but the last 2 miles were definitely the hardest. I did pick up my pace for this but it felt like forever. Anyway I finished in 2 hours and 1 minute. What a bummer. Actually I said I would be happy finishing in 2:10, but it is hard to be so close to 2 hours flat. Anyway, I did it and I am happy.

The true champion of the day was Dustin. He got the kids up after I left and drove to two different spots on the course to cheer me on (one of which I barely missed them). They were also at the finish line. Now for any of you who know my kids, you know what a HUGE task this was. I was in tears at the end to know I had such a great support team. Thank you Dustin for all your help so I could get in all of my running days over the past 3 months. Your the best!

So I really didn't know about these things before I did it, and now I am a true nonbeliever of the look-alike meter. I don't really know where Savannah and Jacob rest, but Jonah, He is an exact replica of Dustin. Let me know what you think. Maybe you will change my mind, but I doubt it.

Feast and Festival

We just got back from the yearly Lenox Elementary Feast and Festival. They had Costa Vida cater it for a second year in a row and we gave all of the profits to the school. It was a great turn out and the kids had a blast. They had a first aid station, as you can see Savannah has a pretend broken arm. They had lots of games and activities, where the kids cashed in tickets for prizes, won candy and Savannah actually won a fish (Goldie). Here is a picture of the kids with their prizes: A mask, flashlight necklaces, whoopee cushions, googly eyes and a plastic shark. They did well. Savannah is sad in the picture because she "broke her arm." Wouldn't you be sad?
