We are how old?

During the month of December we celebrated my birthday(33), our anniversary(10th) and Dustins Birthday(35). Man we are getting old! We didn't do anything major, but it really was great just spending time together and with the kids. This is our picture from Dustin's Birthday. The kids made him monkey bread in the shape of a "D".
Anyway I couldn't ask for a better life, better husband or greater kids. I love them all and feel so blessed.

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Sunday was Jacobs birthday so we decided to take it easy. We opened presents with our family and had dinner. That evening we invited a couple of the families on our street over for cake and ice cream. We had a great time enjoying time together in our backyard.

I told Savannah and Jonah that they could each get Jacob something small. What they decided blew me away. Jonah wanted to give Jacob his favorite car carrier and car. I told him we could buy him one, but he knew that Jacob loved his and he said he thought Jacob would share it with him. Savannah told him to give away one of his not favorite cars, but he wouldn't have it. What a champ! I was so proud of Jonah.

Following Jonah, Savannah decided to give Jacob some new play dough she was given from a neighbor that was throwing it out. They were so cute getting the gifts all wrapped up. Jonah even wrapped a "nothing" present as a joke. We didn't think he should do it, but Jacob actually laughed.

Here is a picture of Jacob, Savannah and Jonah opening the stash of Diego presents Abby and Pappy sent in the mail. Thanks Mom and Dad!

I made a chocolate sheet cake with powdered sugar (for snow) and a snowboarding Diego. Jacob also had requests for ice cream cones. Thanks Maddy and Taylor for the "cool" dump truck and telephone!

Family Birthday Party

Back in April Jonah came out of Primary so excited. He had his birthday stickers and birthday pencil and was so happy that it was his Birthday. Well it actually wasn't, but he was so excited that it was. I told him that his birthday was May 17th but that it was April, and he said "Ya it's my birthday, May seventeen April." Well we couldn't break his heart, so we had a family birthday party so the other kids wouldn't feel sad either. We made a cake, everyone was sung to individually, we each got to blow out our candles. It was a fun night.
